The Green Party stood up in 16 wards in St.Helens and last night 3400 voted Green across the town representing 8% of voters. Green Party candidates came second in three wards and gained over 10% of the vote in four wards. In the four wards where the Green Party stood last year the percentage of the vote rose from 7.5% to 10.5%. Thanks to all who voted Green. These results represent real progress towards a greener, fairer future.
